Who we are
Snail Trip is made by Trần Trúc Quân, an individual based in Da Nang, Vietnam (“we”, “us”). When you use Snail Trip, your agreement is with us. By using Snail Trip, you agree to these terms.
What Snail Trip is
This version supports account sign-in and setup. The public leaderboard and reminders are not available yet. The game rules below describe how those features are intended to work when available.
Snail Trip is a web app at trip.gommie.page with a Chrome extension. You set a time, then read, watch or listen to what you saved. Each second of active reading, watching or listening moves a snail one kilometre across a world map, and each new country it reaches gets a stamp. During a trip, the extension blocks YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and X in Chrome until the time is up.
Price and billing
Your first trip is free. After that, Snail Trip is a $7 monthly subscription, plus any tax for your country. Paddle adds the tax at checkout and shows the total before you pay. The subscription renews every month until you cancel.
Our order process is handled by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, billing, tax, invoices and refund requests, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
Cancelling
You can cancel, update your card or download invoices from the link in your Paddle receipt email, or by writing to support@gommie.page. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the month you already paid for. Deleting your account in Settings cancels your subscription right away, and any paid days left are lost. You can still ask for a refund within 14 days of a payment.
Refunds
You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of a payment. See the Refund Policy.
Fair play
The snail’s distance, countries, stamps and leaderboard place are part of the game. They have no cash value.
If you end a trip before the time is up, your snail stops where it is and keeps the kilometres and countries it has reached, but that trip doesn’t count toward your daily streak. To keep your progress, finish at least one trip each day, by your device’s clock. You get two rest days each month. If you miss a day with no rest day left, the snail goes back to its starting point and your countries, stamps and leaderboard distance are cleared. This also applies while you are subscribed.
Only trips where the extension is blocking those sites count on the leaderboard. We may reset progress from trips that break these rules.
Using Snail Trip
Please don’t use Snail Trip to break the law, commit fraud, send spam, infringe someone else’s rights, or interfere with our systems, for example by spreading malware, probing for weaknesses, scraping or faking trips.
Articles, videos and podcasts you save belong to their owners. Saving them does not give you or us extra rights to share them.
Our service
We own Snail Trip and its design, code and artwork. We work to keep it running well, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.
We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, non-payment, or a security or fraud risk. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
